X-Factor - Emerald Isle

This week groups A and B joined together to compete in the X factor at the Emerald Isle, sponsored by Sunshine Fm. Our top ten performers tonight were,Marie Evans.Marie's version of Skinny Love and then Empire state of mind were performed with confidence and emotion and once again Marie wowed everyone with yet another fantastic image. Suzie Edwards.Suzie’s “On the radio” and “12th of never” were greatly received by the audience and performed to a high standard.
Nosa & the SOS – World Music. With that big smile grinning away whilst singing to his own guitar playing of “The Banana Tree” and then” No Woman No Cry” who could resist the charm of this shy but very talented guy.Artur Guillen. After being in the sing off’s, two weeks ago Artur came back with a bang! Starting with Ricky Martins “ Un, Dos, Tres” and then whipping the crowd into frenzy with Delilah from Tom Jones! He has definitely returned to with a vengeance!Ashley Tweedle.“Son of A Preacher Man” and then “This Ole’ Heart of Mine” Breathtaking! Miss Tweedle really shines when she hits the stage. This is definitely where she belongs.Cherry KEmilee Sands “Next to me” and Adele’s “Don’t you remember” caused mixed reactions from the judges. Cherry always delivers an interesting and varied performance.Yasmin DumbreckThe ultimate rock chic in our group tonight! Playing live acoustic guitar and using a vocal harmonizer, she has her own unique sound and style. Performing “Ironic” and then “Alone” she always delivers with style.
Melissa Fanning.“We found Love in a Hopeless place” and “River deep mountain high” performed with Melissa’s usual force to be reckoned with style and attitude. It’s always a memorable moment when the tiny Irish firecracker appears.Stefanie Lohse.A huge effort was made by Stefanie tonight. You could tell that a lot of thought and planning went into her performance. From “Waka Waka” to “I will follow him” which started with her dressed in a nun’s Habit and then had her whipping it of to reveal something a little more Burlesque! Great fun it made everyone smile including her very proud dad.Ashley Tweedle was the highest scorer tonight and well deserved it was to.Sadly we say goodbye to Melissa Fanning who was voted off tonight. The voting was so close this evening between all the contestants and anyone who has made it into this top ten tonight should be very proud of themselves indeed. We can’t wait to see what the contestants will bring next week to top all these fantastic performances from tonight.
